William KrusenEric Lamontagne
Eric Lamontagne was a four-year rower at Stetson University and a past ultra-marathon world record holder on the erg machine.  At Stetson, Eric primarily raced in the lightweight four categories, making it to the semifinals of the Dad Vail Regatta for three consecutive years (2007-2009).  After graduating from Stetson University, Eric enrolled in Stetson University’s College of Law here in Gulfport, Florida.  During his first year of law school, Eric was an assistant coach for Tampa Catholic High School.  In the summer of 2010, Eric was offered the head coaching position at The Stewards Foundation and currently oversees the training of both middle and high school youth, and looks to begin coaching the masters’ women as well.

Bill Krusen has been involved in business in the Tampa area for over 50 years. He has been a Trustee at the University of Tampa since the early 1960s and is presently Trustee Emeritus. As a founding father of the Stewards Foundation, Mr. Krusen, championed the construction of the McNeel Boat House at the University and helped pioneer the rowing program at the Tampa Prepatory School. Bill is enthusiastic about rowing in the community and the many advantages it will give to the young people in the Tampa area.

 

Tom FeasterTom Feaster
President

Tom Feaster was the 1965 National Schoolboy Singles Rowing Champion from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia. Tom also pulled the # 6 oar in the Marietta College's 1967 Varsity Heavy Weight Eight Oared Crew that won the Dad Vail Regatta (Collegiate National Championship). The '67 crew also represented the United States in England and Germany. Tom served as Marietta's crew captain from 1968-1969. After graduation from college Mr. Feaster coached national championships varsity heavyweight men's crews at Marietta High School, The Sanford Naval Academy, and The University of Tampa where he completed a Masters Degree in Education. Since retiring from his formal coaching responsibilities in 1979, Mr. Feaster has been a leader in the Tampa Bay business community. He continues to be an advocate of the sport of Rowing on all levels and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United States Rowing Association.

Margaret Lopez
Treasurer

Margaret is a Florida State University graduate and an MBA recipient of the University of Tampa. After receiving her CPA, she worked as an auditor with Peat Marwick and CSX Corporation. She is currently a Senior Account Manager with CSX Transportation. Margaret has been a resident of Tampa since 1991 and has been involved in several bay area non-profit organizations, The Junior League of Tampa, Treasurer of Bayshore Little League, and Gorrie Elementary PTA. Her involvement with rowing began in the fall of 2008 when her son joined The Stewards Foundation high school team. Margaret's son and daughter row with The Stewards Foundation and she serves as Treasurer of the parent booster club for the high school crew.

 

Jim Preston

A native of the Philadelphia area, Jim Preston rowed for Monsignor Bonner High School and Penn A.C. Rowing Association, before joining the University of Tampa Crew in 1976.  After graduating from U.T., where he rowed for four years, Jim attended law school at Villanova University.  He returned to Tampa in 1985 and is now the Deputy Chief of the Narcotics Section of the United States Attorney’s Office.  Jim remains active in rowing and competes in masters sculling events as a member of the Tampa Rowing Club.  Jim also serves as an assistant coach to the Tampa Prep Crew.
